Every day Rice’s Office of Public Affairs works with university leaders, faculty members, students, parents and alumni to promote Rice in our communities and workplaces. There is no better advocate for Rice than you. The Rice Community Action Network is our way to say “Rice CAN!” and you can help by becoming a member. Through Rice CAN, we’ll share information with you about Rice’s priorities and provide talking points and other tools you can use to communicate with your friends, coworkers, elected officials and others. Every year, for example, we consult with Rice leaders to identify our local, state and federal governmental priorities. We share them with elected officials and work with them to win support and passage. By reaching out to more government officials through CAN members, we have a better chance of making those priorities a reality. Rice may be a small university, but our faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni can make a big difference. Please join us and help raise Rice’s visibility and impact.
